Hours

  • Open Thursdays and Fridays, 10 am to 2pm; McAllister House Welcome Center is open and grounds are open for site strolls. HISTORIC STRUCTURES ARE CLOSED*

    We suggest calling ahead to confirm open hours prior to your visit during our winter season as the museum may be closed for maintenance or development.

ADMISSION POLICIES

  • Guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

  • Pets are not allowed on the Manitowoc County Historical Society property, with the exception of service dogs.

  • Firearms are prohibited to be carried on property by guests.

  • Due to safety considerations, smoking of any kind is not allowed on the property.

We do not allow the following:

  • Professional photography equipment, including tripods, monopods or selfie sticks (without museum approval)

  • Photography or video recordings of children or families who are not part of your personal group

  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, hoverboards, roller skates, roller blades or shoes with wheels in them


Admission Discounts

  • $1.00 off admission for AAA cardholder. Must show current AAA card to receive discount. Cannot be combined with other discounts.

  • We offer free general admission for all active members of the United States military and their immediate family, throughout our general season. Must show military ID to receive discount. Cannot be combined with other discounts.
