The Manitowoc County Historical Society offers lectures at your facility by members of our Speaker’s Bureau, available on a variety of interesting historical topics.

An honorarium is required for each speaker. Discounts are available for Society members.

Historic Housewives

Cooking on an open fire, washing clothes by hand, keeping a diligent eye on the kids while also tending to some worn clothes in dire need of a patch job. This was common life for a woman back in pioneer times, and no woman was a stranger to this lifestyle. But our pioneer women also started libraries, classrooms, museums, and so much more.
