Vintage machinery requires care and maintenance to keep them running. Mid-Lakes Rustic Iron Club volunteers will lead this workshop at the Krueger Sawmill to pour new bearings for the mill’s planer. The workshop includes demonstrations, hands-on learning, and class curriculum notes for take home. Participants will learn the basics of repouring babbitt – a process that can be applied to their own vintage machinery.
Workshop includes lunch. Bring a water bottle. Participants should arrive prepared for hands-on work, closed toe work boots, jeans, long sleeves, heat resistant gloves, and safety glasses.
