Calling all teachers - join us for FREE workshops this summer!
The Manitowoc County Historical Society’s 2025 Summer Teacher Workshops are FREE, half-day programs focused on history, art, and science. Educators will learn about ways to incorporate MCHS’ collections, our historic Pinecrest Village, and stories of our local history into their curriculum.
Learn about the Museum’s NEW opportunities for middle and high school students.
Meet MCHS Education team over breakfast and coffee (light breakfast provided!)
Engage with teacher colleagues and friends
Both workshops will cover the same content:
History
Learn about early transportation history , then visit the Meeme House to hear how MCHS is interpreting Wisconsin’s history of the stage coach era and beyond.
These new stories are now included in a guided field trip experience in the 2025-2026 school year!
Archives
Learn about maps, directories and more local history resources , then browse items in the museum collection to hear how these primary and secondary sources can help your students.
