Heritage Trades School
Saturday, March 29 from 9am - 5pm and Sunday, March 30 from 9am - 2pm
Join one of these weekend workshops to create and take home a project from one of our workshop options. Spend the weekend immersed in history and take a bit of 19th century life and learning with you when you go!
Supplies and equipment are provided. Snacks and a lunch are provided. Participants should plan to bring their own beverages, and be prepared for the weather.

Blacksmithing
If you are up for a more in depth experience in the blacksmithing world, try this workshop.
Workshop fee: $195
Fraktur Calligraphy
Artist, Amy Hathorne sits down with students for a guided journey though this traditional German art form.
Workshop fee: $100
Carpentry
Take up a hand plane and chisel and try your hand at traditional wood working. Malcolme Hathorne guides students through this make and take using historical hand tools and methods. Learn the precision art of woodwork with hand tools.
Workshop fee: $150
19th Century Angling
Sport fishing is not new. Join Ezra Parker for the basics of fishing in the nineteenth century and to construct your own rod and tackle.
Workshop fee: $150
Dressmaking
Join dressmaker, Hannah Harvey in the mid-20th century! Create a cute dress for your next car show, World War 2 event, sock hop or even everyday wear! Learn how to follow a pattern, construction methods, fabric and prints, and hand sewing techniques. Up your game for this summer’s events or just for fun!
Workshop fee: $195

Class sizes are limited and are for participants age 18 and older.
