From helping at the General Store to being a guest in a family’s bustling kitchen, you will learn how to shop, use and measure ingredients, and create recipes.
“Wow, imagine cooking here!” - We hear that comment often in our historic kitchens—and you don’t have to imagine anymore. Sign up for our Homeschool “In the Kitchen” class and learn firsthand how to cook over an open hearth in the 1850 Thompson cabin or on a wood burning stove in the Kunze Cabin. You can also learn to set a fancy Victorian table in our Sorenson House.
The experiences will take place continuously from 10 am to 2 pm
Please note that the historic structures of Pinecrest Village will have the wood stoves in operation to provide heat and for the cooking demonstrations. The wood stoves are hot.
